From One Acquirer to Another
Hello there!
There’s no shortage of Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition content telling you how “attractive” small businesses are, why search funds are the future, or how a 20‑page memo proved the deal was brilliant (right up until it wasn’t). We’ll touch that stuff — but we go further, into the messy, uncomfortable, actually‑trying‑to‑buy‑a‑business side of things.
I’m an ex‑investment banker now in the thick of ETA, working to buy a real company and sharing the process as I go. The Naked Acquirer is my unfiltered deal diary: case studies, interviews, and analysis pulled from a live search, not a lecture theatre or a sponsor deck.
This is for people who want to push past the LinkedIn platitudes and actually own something: searchers, operators, serial acquirers, and finance refugees trying to escape a life of endless PowerPoint.
No corporate spin. No academic throat‑clearing. No hiding the ugly bits in footnotes. Just the numbers, the working, and the slightly awkward parts most people quietly delete before they publish the case study.
We’re building a platform around that idea. Today it’s a newsletter. Tomorrow it’s courses, databases, and tools to help serious acquirers find deals, underwrite them properly, and actually get to close. If you’re here to buy a business — not just talk about “doing a search one day” — stick around.
